CLASS FAQS

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?

Dress For Mess! Acrylic paint does not come out of clothes. We cannot guarantee that clay or other art materials will come out of clothes. Students should always come to the studio dressed for mess and outdoor play.

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD BRING TO CLASS?

Each day, campers will need to bring snacks, lunch (if full day), water bottle, and be dressed for mess and outdoor play. Please send campers with bug spray and sunblock that they can apply independently. We recommend that campers are applied with sunblock prior to camp each morning.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

If you need to cancel after registration, we will issue a full refund with a $50 admin fee provided you cancel at least 4 weeks prior to the start of the booked camp. Half refunds will be provided after 4 weeks and NO refunds will be provided 2 weeks prior to camp.

Withdrawal for medical reasons must be accompanied by a doctor’s medical note and must be received by the directors, Janel Nail or Andrea Lau prior to summer camp start date to qualify for a half refund.

Transferring your child’s registration to another camper if needing to cancel can be discussed and decided upon at the discretion of the directors. A $25 transfer fee will apply to any child transferring. We are unable to pro-rate the cost of camp if your child needs to miss any day(s).

ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO DO BEFORE CAMP?

Yes, parents/guardians please discuss the following before student(s) arrive to camp.

To prepare, it is important to remind kids to try their best, have fun and enjoy the process. We will speak a lot about how every person is unique and therefore our art will all look different from one another. We will emphasize that there is no such thing as ‘perfect’ in art-making and having fun in creating our art is the most important part!

* Our goal is to maintain a respectful, patient, and creative learning environment. Please note disrespectful and disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. In the event of inappropriate behaviour, parents will be called to pick up their child immediately. No refunds or credits for missed time in the event a parent needs to be called if a child is not able continue with the class either partially or permanently due to bullying, or disruptive, violent, inappropriate or disrespectful behaviour.

WHAT IF MY CHILD WILL BE LATE FOR CAMP?

If you know you’ll be late or absent please advise Janel and Andrea via bridgelandcamp@gmail.com or by text at 403-466-1525. Thank you!
